We do not stock shelves of the same few designs. Every Exellica rug is made in India by skilled artisans, hand-tufted, hand-knotted and hand-woven using techniques passed down through generations. This process is slower than machine production, and that is the point. The care shows in the weight of the pile, the evenness of the knots and the way the colour holds. Each piece carries the quiet quality of something made by a person, not a machine.
A rug should be woven for one home, in one size, in the colours that room was waiting for. That is the only way we make our rugs.

We work across wool, jute, viscose, silk and cotton, choosing each for how it feels underfoot, how it wears over years, and how it holds colour. We choose wool for warmth and resilience, jute for natural texture, silk and viscose for sheen, and cotton for a soft, easy finish. The fibre is yours to choose, and we help you pick the right one for your room.
